It's Easy To Be Green
Each of our beautifully crafted pieces, made right here in Canada, are manufactured with the planet in mind.
Yarn is one input that cannot be sourced from within Canada, reason being is the Canadian climate is cold. However, the yarn that is used is certified organic by the Organic Crop Improvement Association and the facility that produces the yarn is Oeko-Tex 100 Certified which means the finished fiber has been tested for any chemicals that could be detrimental to the environment or people involved in its production. The yarn is then knitted in a reduced energy consumption process through state-of-the-art machines and dying is done using only non-toxic materials.
A key material in the majority of our pieces is bamboo. Bamboo is not only incredibly soft and cozy but it one of the kindest resources for manufacturing clothing as it does not require fertilizers or pesticides for cultivation and grows rapidly and profusely without depleting the soil.
Our efforts don't stop there. In the spring of 2021 we made the switch from recyclable kraft boxes to compostable bags. The decision was part of our continued effort & commitment to doing as much as we can to reduce our impact on the environment.
