BETTER Program
BETTER is our way of living into our company name. We approach everything we do with BETTER in mind. Living BETTER, buying BETTER, giving BETTER. BETTER always.
How do we do this?
Manufacturing in Canada means we are supporting local workers while also reducing the impact on the environment by lessening the distance any piece has to travel to arrive at its final destination.
In addition, each piece purchased will result a donation being made three charities near and dear to our hearts. The Terry Fox Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Canada, and Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
Why those three charities?
On August 8th, 1999 a beautiful soul, Nicole Nardi, lost her courageous battle with cancer at the young age of 19. Nicole was the sister-in-law of our founder and as a tribute to her, The Terry Fox Foundation, was selected as one of our three charities.
On May 20th, 2012 a little boy named Parker (the nephew of our founder) was born, and through infant screening was identified and subsequently diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a deadly genetic disease for which there is no cure. Since Parker's birth our founder has been a team leader for the annual Great Strides Walk. With the continued goal of finding a cure, Cystic Fibrosis Canada was selected as one of our three charities.
Tanya, cousin to our founder, teacher, friend, buying Canadian advocate, and MS warrior was the inspiration behind the brand. It was shopping for Tanya's birthday each year and finding the mission of buying "made in Canada" next to impossible that caused our founder to solve the challenge. It is also for Tanya that Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada was selected as one of our three charities.
